Problem with iOS asking for outlook password
I don’t use hotmail just gmail and just the gmail app. So why is iOS asking for an outlook password? If I search for outlook under settings nothing is found.

Have you added an Outlook and/or Exchange email address to the Gmail app?
To be sure check -> go to: Settings -> Mail -> tap Mail.
Then tap Accounts -> do you see the Outlook and/or Exchange email address?

That is not it. I do not even have the mail app on my phone, just the gmail app. To bad there is not some way to put the phone in debug mode and discover which bit of code is generating the alert.
