notes tables

I'm crazy about Notes and I use tables in a few notes. Unfortunately I'm still using High Sierra, but I presume that I cannot resize columns, that is... I cannot have tables with columns of different width... Am I right?

Something new if I upgrade to newer OSes?

That's correct and no, you still cannot in newer versions of macOS.
