How to disable the “shutter” sound when taking a screenshot
I take hundreds of screenshots every day because I use them for reference with a couple apps and programs that I use. Until today, this was a blessedly SILENT operation: I just click the “sleep” and “home” buttons at the same time briefly, the screen flashes, and a screenshot thumbnail appears. Beautiful.
However, today Apple Support guided me to do a Reset on my iPad to resolve a couple of bad bugs that came about after the most recent iOS update. Which is great, but ever since there is a very LOUD and ANNOYING sound (that sounds like a camera shutter) every time I take a screenshot. It’s so ANNOYING! I’ve spend hours now trying to disable it and I can’t figure it out and I am pulling my hair out.
And please don’t tell me to just turn off all volume for everything on my iPad — I need the volume on for when I am watching YouTubes or something like that. I’m learning a new skill with YouTubes atm and I often take screenshots during a video (for my own reference, I don’t distribute). I really, really need to have my sound on in general, but the sound OFF for capturing screenshots.
Please can someone help before I pull out all my hair? Thank you (I have iPad mini 5 with most recent updates)
