Airpod Max keep disconnecting - Yes, I have done hard resets

I have recently started having issues with my Airpod Max headphones since I upgraded to the macOS Big Sur version 11.6.1 before that it was working perfectly! Now anytime I try to use my Airpod Max headphones, they have an issue connecting to my Mac. It will say it has connected, but that sound when it actually connects doesn't come on, then it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. I have done hard resets on both my headphones and my Mac computer that I am trying to connect to. It will work AFTER I do a hard reset but I have to do EVERY time I want to use my headphones. Is there a work around or should I start looking into trying to get this returned? Beyond disappointing.

Hello aap503,

It sounds like your AirPods Mac keep disconnecting from your Mac.

Here are some resources that can help:

  • Review If your AirPods won't connect to see if there are any steps here you have not tried. In additional, try to connect them to an up-to-date iOS device to see if they connect successfully there.

Hope this information helps.

Have a good day.
