Directv Upgrade Player

Why can't I watch DirecTV online since I loaded macOS Monterey? I keeping getting a request to upgrade the Directv player (which I have done many times).

All this makes me understand how Directv lost 900,000 customers in Q1 of 2020 (couldn't find more recent numbers, but based on the service level and the fact AT&T now has the Directv group for sale, it's probably increasing).

Can't watch DirecTV on macbook air I successfully signed into Directv and tried to watch a program from the guide. At first I had to download some stuff but then it appeared it would work. When I open a program it opens a viewing window and says "loading" and then "authorizing" but no image appears and the window controls don't work. I'm using Chrome but got the same response on Safari. I'm still running Mojave OS as I donlt dare to upgrade to Catalina yet.

Does Direct TV say their player works with Monterey?

If you are still on 12.0.1 try updating to 12.1 which was released 12/13/2021

I am at Monterey 12.1 and am having the same problem viewing DirectTV on my computer. It continues to tell me to upgrade to DirectTV player.
