IPhone 8 supplied by sky mobile told it contains none genuine apple parts but has never been reparaired

Hi has any one tried to do a mobile phone swap with sky mobile only to be told that the iPhone 8 had failed a factory check as it contained none genuine parts. Even though the phone has never been repaired. The phone is like a new phone no scratches or marks never been dropped. The guy at Sky told me I was a lier and it must have been repaired, I have been a sky customer for over 25 years. Total discusted

can some one from Apple contact me to tell me how to get the iPhone checked

Apple is not here to help or comment but you can contact them as below.

If they are going by the messages like "It cannot be verified that this phone contains a genuine camera" then you can tell Sky that those messages can be created by a simple hardware failure. Check for those messages in Settings, general, or Settings, general, About.

You still have a phone that needs to be repaired at considerable cost before it can be swapped or traded0in, but it may help explain to them about your honesty.

They may also look at the state of tjhe pentalobe screws next to the lightning port to detect tampering.
