Logitech Combo-Touch Globe Key issue with iPad Pro (2021)

Bought the iPad Pro 12.9 inch when it launched earlier this year along with the Logitech Combo-Touch keyboard case. However I’ve noticed that when typing the Globe key stops working as the emoji picker if I detach and re-attach the keyboard. This has been an ongoing problem for some time and have been in contact with Logitech whose only solution was to contact Apple for advice. I had hoped that the release of iPadOS15.2 would fix this problem but alas it wasn’t to be and the issue remains.

I have the Logitech firmware updater app installed and up to date and have force reinstalled the driver for the keyboard but once again the Globe issue returns if I detach and reattach the keyboard. The only temporary solution i have for this is to hard reset the iPad and fully shut it down and restart it OR reset the settings.

I was asked by Logitech customer care to provide a video of the issue and here is the link:

If there is ANY possible way of finding a fix for this highly frustrating problem then I’d be really grateful.

Yes, I have the same keyboard for my iPad Pro and I have the exact same issue. I don’t think the keyboard is malfunctioning though. It might probably have something to do with the iPadOS mapping.

The reason I say that is I can still use the globe key featured shortcuts such as “globe + Q” for quick notes. This has been working fine.

Right now, I’m just using “control + space”. This actually works better for my own use case.
