CarPlay not working after 15.2

I had a similar issue with my 2018 BMW. Upgrading to iOS 15.3 did not help. Basically went through all Bluetooth connection instructions, then boom - failed to connect.

Then I remembered that there is also a wifi connection to the car in the mix. Sure enough, when I checked, it hadn’t connected. Why? Because the auto-join option was turned off. Connected manually first to check. Presto, it worked! Then turned on auto-join, and started from the beginning.

Everything works fine now. 👍

i had the same issue and i found out what it is the problem. After upgrade ios, iphone would ask you to activate SIRI, if you refuse, carplay stop working. Solution is activate SIRI again !

Yesterday iOS 15.2.1 was released. The bug with CarPlay has also been fixed.

A few days ago I've also made an update in my car (recommend from BMW Connected Service). After this my problem with my phone and contact app has been solved - iPhone 12 Pro.

Fixed issue. Factory reset car stereo and was able to pair the device.

Factory resetting my radio fixed my issue. I have a 2019 Honda Fit ex-l factory stereo.

I tried everything and saw my McAfee VPN was trying to connect. I just thought it couldn’t because I had no wifi.

Decided to delete it and my wifi connected and everything was back to normal.

The iOS iOS 15.2.1 update released yesterday fixes the problem (for me anyway).

I updated to 15.2 and my Yukon would not play my Apple Music. I updated the software first and that did not help. Then I reset the stereo system to factory setting and it worked. Thanks to whomever suggested it!

We had the lightning cable plugged into the wrong USB port. Switched it over and voila.

@Pathill50: as I've written above: I've made updates of the car software as well (BMW 540 and BMW i3s). I've made the steps which the BMW Support told me and then it worked. I've also have to make a restart of the bord computer and then reconnect again.

Same issue here with iPhone 12 Pro and 2020 Skoda Superb PHEV with wireless CarPlay. Tried everything apart from a factory reset of the infotainment system. Will try that next.

Yes I’m having the same problem with my iPhone 12. I have to open up the app on my phone for it to work on CarPlay

I have a Nissan Frontier 2022 and after update nothing works with carplay or bluetooth audio. tried my fiancés phone without update, everything works perfect. Apple needs to fix this.

I‘ve an iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 15.2. The actual problem with Carplay is that I can‘t see my contact list after I‘ve clicked on the phone app. All other app work.

And for you to know: my husband has an iPhone 13 Pro Max and everything works fine with all our BMWs.

so maybe Apple should check the constellation iPhone 12 and Carplay.
