I have tried all of the suggested things from previous posts. I have tried using a different USB connection, I have tried all that has been suggested, let me make that clear. Rebooted iPhone, been through all the settings, forgot the device from the car and from the phone. CarPlay does not work after 15.2 update.
please give me other options to try.

I had a similar issue with my 2018 BMW. Upgrading to iOS 15.3 did not help. Basically went through all Bluetooth connection instructions, then boom - failed to connect.
Then I remembered that there is also a wifi connection to the car in the mix. Sure enough, when I checked, it hadn’t connected. Why? Because the auto-join option was turned off. Connected manually first to check. Presto, it worked! Then turned on auto-join, and started from the beginning.
Everything works fine now. 👍
I can’t get Google maps. Waze or Amazon Music to work with CarPlay on iOS 15, 15.1 or 15.2.
I’ve just updated to iOS 15.2.1, which supposedly has CarPlay fixes, but these apps still don’t work (2019 BMW 5 Series).
Why are these CarPlay bugs taking so long to fix? Very unhappy.
I have tried all options listed and have reset all setting as this happened previously on my iPhone 13 pro.
After 15.2 update car does not even recognize the device.
please fix or offer support.
