Major Photo Processing. Bad, Blurry, Poor, Filtered, Overprocessed, Oversharpened. What is this? [iPhone 13 Pro]

Hi all,

I'm seeing really really bad looking processing treatment on my photos. See my photo of an acorn on my table below.

Do you see the camouflage texture on everything? Zero sharpness or clarity anywhere. This is an acorn on a wood table. You can hardly make out the wood grain and the acorn looks like a blurry cartoon.

I did not edit or filter or crop zoom this image. This was a point and shoot shot and it came out like this.

I'm noticing this treatment is being applied in varying intensity to all of my photos. How is this acceptable? This looks terrible. This is embarrassing.

I've tried some of the recommended workarounds to the processing, like shooting in Burst or Live modes where you can pick a frame that doesn't receive this processing. Selecting any other frame than the key frame with the Live method produces a low-res screenshot of the Live video. The burst mode produces less processed photos, but for the worse as the photos look grey and dead and also still has some of this awful texture processing applied to it but to a lesser extent than Live or regular Photo.

So please for the love of a $1000 phone with "the best camera ever" can someone tell me how to curb this processing treatment?

I "upgraded" from iPhone 11 to iPhone pro 13 and now I am in shock how terrible the images look.

Overprocessed garbage. Please let us turn off this nonsense
