Then, as noted, you would have to install the Logitech software. Being Logitech, it likely has a kernel extension which must be approved in Security & Privacy system preferences immediately after installing. However, it could be a legacy kernel extension that doesn't work with Big Sur, so didn't load.

You should contact Logitech to ask why it doesn't work or how to install it properly.

did you install the logitech software for the product?

if macos knew how to communicate with the device without installing the third party software

then it would not add stuff to the system preferences

Is the new computer running the Apple Silicon M1 CPU ?

Just because the logitech software worked on the older computer ( Intel ? ) does not automatic translate to working on the Apple Silicon Computer.
