Macbook bluetooth will randomly turn off and not turn back on again

I have a macbook pro 2020, using os Montgomery (although this issue has been happening for a long time and I think I've updated to different versions since it started but I could be wrong) and the Bluetooth will randomly turn off on its own and I won't realize until I try to use a Bluetooth device or use airdrop. I try to turn it back on by clicking the switch in the upper toolbar Bluetooth dropdown, and the button just resets to off as soon as i stop clicking it. I've tried to turn it on in Bluetooth settings in the system preferences but it's almost like the button doesn't do anything bc the button shows I'm clicking it, but nothing actually changes. I've also tried resetting the Bluetooth module to no change. The only thing that turns it back on is if I fully shut down or reset my computer, which gets super annoying because this issue can happen as frequently as once a day or more, and I don't want to have to interrupt my work to fully shut off my computer and turn it back on again.
