Recovering accidentally deleted firefox history, iOS Big Sur, Firefox 95

I accidentally deleted 6 mo of firefox browser history. Complicating this is that firefox updated overnight right before I did this.

I have read directions online and can't find what I am supposed to choose along the top menu bar so I am thinking maybe those directions are for older versions? I have not turned off my computer or closed firefox since this happened. While I can get older history from backups (presuming I can figure out how to get just that and limit it to just that), I haven't backed up in a month (yeah I know, serves me right).

I also don't understand the directions I have read for finding the hidden library which I gather is where this stuff is. Once I find it then I am not sure what I am supposed to do with what I find.

I'd appreciate some help.

THANKS in advance!

Hi there, kidsandliz,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. If we understand, you need help restoring browser history in the third-party app, Firefox. We are happy to provide you with some information!

It is possible you can regain your browser history by restoring from a Time Machine backup. You can use the information outlined in the Apple Support article Restore items backed up with Time Machine on Mac - Apple Support to learn how to do that.

If you still need help with your browser history after that, you'll need to speak with Mozilla, the makers of Firefox, directly. You can do that here: Contacts, Spaces and Communities — Contact us — Mozilla.

Enjoy your weekend!
