High Sierra upgrade - Pro Mid '10

I know this has been discussed before but I'm stuck at OS10.12.6. I cant update to High Sierra. Downlaoaded 10.13.6 but it stalls at:

'To install macOS High Sierra, a firmware update is required.' Restarting with long tone just takes me back to the same prompt. My firmware seems upto date.

Any ideas?

The Firmware update required to install High Sierra is included in the High Sierra Installer. The computer Required the computer be plugged into Charger and Charger into wall socket for electric power.

The Firmware is going to make the portable computer vulnerable to power loss during if running on battery and during the Firmware update is being installed.

Should power be lost during this operation - the computer may cease to work at all.
