How to place icons on secondary display?

I have a macbook pro 16" 2021 connected to 2 external Dell 27" monitors. The MacBook remains lid closed. I have a bluetooth keyboard and trackpad. All is good, except... I'm unable to place icons on the secondary display. All my icons are on the primary display. If I drag one to the secondary display, it simply bounces back. How can I use both displays as desktop space, with icons?

You have two external displays. One is set as Primary and the other as Secondary. The Disktop icons and the Task Bar (Dock) will remain on the designated Primary Display. These cannot be on both displays simultaneously. You can pull up the task bar on the Secondary Display by moving your trackpad cursor to the Bottom Edge of the Secondary Display. When you do this, then the task bar will move to the Secondary Display. Reverse the action to move the Task Bar back to the Primary Display.

Furthermore, you can switch the designation of Primary and Secondary Displays by reviewing this article ➔ How to set the Primary Display on a dual screen Mac setup.
