Device management removal

Hi,

I've bought from my company a device which was originally purchased through and enrolled in a Device Enrollment Program (DEP) and managed with a Mobile Device Manager (MDM).

My company's administrator have unassigned this second-hand device from the DEP and when I check in Settings > General > VPN & Device Management, there is no associated MDM profile.

However, on top of the Settings page there is still a notification : "This iPhone is supervised and managed by Company".

Does this indeed mean that the phone is supervised, even without MDM profile ?

How can I get rid of this notification ?

Thanks.

Hi,

thanks for your feedback. That was also the instruction from my company, but that's actually what I want to avoid in order to keep my current setup without having to reinstall and customize all apps. So I was wondering whether there was a way around...

I've been told also that restoring from a backup wouldn't work as the same supervision message would remain. Hence my underlying question : is the phone really still supervised, considering that there isn't any MDM profile anymore ?
