Anyone found a driver for a Brother Hl-L2540D laser printer? Not having access to a printer is becoming a real problem. Please HELP Apple, or at the least replace my printer with another dependable Brother laser jet that works with Monterey!

Hi, unplug the power cord and usb from your printer and Mac for about 2 minutes then turn off your Mac , plug back in the power cord and usb to your printer then to your Mac , turn back on your Mac go to system preferences printer & scanners options check if your printer it’s installed if not add it manually like this in every macOS updates the external devices get removed but the Kexts=drivers stay in but in zip pack week end need to unzipped adding manually
We are all end users just like you, Apple is simply our host and does not read their user to user forums. Also, Apple does not provide the printer drivers, they are provided by the printer manufacturers to Apple. By the way, my Brother AIO printer works just fine with Monterey.
Have you tried the following:
Please do the following in this order:
·Uninstall all Brother software, put in the Trash and empty the Trash.
·Please reset the printing system per Reset the Mac printing system to solve a problem
·Next, follow the instructions in Adding a printer
Yep did all that. Followed Brother instructions for doing things wifi as well with the great help of Apple Support (very helpful, but problem not resolved). The best solution would be if all companies would update related products at the same time. I will leave my little printer unplugged and unconnected for a few days and let it rest. Then I'll start over. Sometimes it takes a few days for all new installations to settle out. But, reading this forum it's not just Brother printers--it's HP, Samsung, and others. thanks for the clear instructions. Eventually they will work!
