Sharing Music database of 400+ digitised DVDs between administrator and user on MacMini (M1).
I've configured our Mac Mini (M1) so I'm the administrator and my wife is a user. I've transferred our complete DVD library of 400+ digitized DVDs onto the Music library on the Mac Mini under my administrator account. What to do to allow a user account (my wife) to access our music library in Music
under my account ???

You may need to give access permissions to the folder path your library resides in.
From your account look for your Library file, and then right click on the containing folder then Get Info. Look at the permissions at the bottom, and try to add your wife's account.
With that done, log out, log back in to your wife's account, and try the option key again and navigate to your library.

Log into her account on the Mac, then hold down the option Key and start iTunes / Music App, then point it to the iTunesLibrary.itl file on your account.
That will let iTunes on her account open your library. Do note that any changes she makes to it, will be visible to you as well and anything you change will change for her too.

Thanks for a quick answer, but it didn't work out for me. On our Mac Mini (M1) I'm logging in as "Administrator" and
my wife login as "System User". I did log as my wife and used option Key when opening Music but I could not select other music libraries from within my wife's account. There seems to watertight doors between a system user and Administrator user even if I defined my Music library as "shared"when I was logged in as "Administrator"
What to do???

Thanks again for a quick response. Your advice did help so thank you.
Now I'm trying to set up our iPads (Pro version based on M1 silicon) using the Luna Display system from Astropad
as a remote display and keyboard for the "headless" Mac Mini (also M1 silicon). It's working half & half, for instance
when opening the Music app on the Mac Mini the window freezes so I can only see and select ca. 10-15 from the top
of the list of my digitized DVDs, I cannot scroll down. So I need to contact Astropad to ask when an update of the Luna
Display will be issued.
