the following disk images cannot be opened (Reason: Corrupt image)

Hello! i just did a hard reset on my laptop by deleting everything and installing the OS using internet recovery. I was downloading some stuff back after successful OS installation. However one of the stuff that i tried to download is not going through. it says the following disk images cannot be opened (Reason: Corrupt image) i did alot of research and tried to fix stuff on my end using their methods but none of which are working. i tried dragging the dmg file as well on utility disk, it could be verified and repaired but the issue still persists. im running out of option from trying to have it work. my disk utility only has one disk which is the macintosh which i used to place my OS installation. i dont know if i did something wrong or im fixing it wrong.
