Facebook Messenger Access on Macbook Air

Hi Team

I can't access my Facebook Messenger on my Macbook Air :(

It was installed properly initially until I had to join a Facebook Event where I was asked to install a different Messenger for Mac so I can join the room. I mistakenly denied the access and now can't seem to make my messenger work.

Tried manually adding the messenger app on System Pref > Security & Privacy > Accessibility; checked all Messenger tickboxes that I can find on Security & Privacy; also tried to uninstall and re-install, but still nothing.

Please help! Thanks!

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities ledaneedshelp,

We understand you're encountering an issue with Messenger regarding permissions, which persists even after checking all boxes in the Accessibility section of the Privacy pane in System Preferences. It sounds like you've completed the steps outlined, here: Allow accessibility apps to access your Mac

If you haven't since making the change, close System Preferences and restart your Mac normally before testing Messenger again.

Should the behavior persist, we reccomend connecting with FaceBook Messenger support, who will be the most familiar with the app and any additional steps that can be taken specific to it. Messenger Help Center - Facebook

Cheers!
