ISP performance
I am having periodic internet outages, as often as daily. My ISP insists it is not their fault. Is there any reliable doftware I can use to monitor and document the status of my internet connection?

Troubleshooting Mac Wi-Fi:
A few thoughts to try...
I. Clear the Temporary Internet Files:
II. Restart your Router:
III. Boot in Safe Mode:
In Safe Mode, Login Items do not run at login, certain preferences are set aside, and damaged system files are then reset. So, once booted in to Safe Mode, wait 30 seconds, and then boot up normally, attempting another update install. For instructions, go here: How to Use safe Mode on your Mac - Apple Support
IV. Try a New Admin User:
What happens when you create a new administrator user, and log into it? Do you still get this error? If not, then it is likely an error with the current user. If so, then it is likely an error with your Mac.
V. Reset your SMC and your NVRAM:
(Applies to Intel-Basel Macs Only) Sometimes changes (i.e. Installations) are made to the system and then settings (i.e. Networking) become corrupted, technically. So, reset both on your Mac. So, reset the SMC and reset the NVRAM or PRAM. It might take three tries. to fix this. So, be certain you have the time to do so.

Developer Forums:
Your best bet to ask this in the Developer Forums. You’d likely get the answer you’re looking for in there. Go Here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/tags/macos/
Your response did not answer the question I asked. Much of the information you gave was too technical for me to use. I am asking for a recommendation for some software to use to keep track of outages on my Internet whichAre caused by ISP problems not my computer problems.
Thanks for trying to help, but my real problem here is that the ISP is having connectivity problems but won't admit it. My internet service goes down unexpectedly almost daily. Communication with the ISP (WOWay) has been useless. I've been looking for some way, via software, to document the outages.

Try this. It is a bit technical, but you could ever view the history of visited sites, and network connectivity/dis-connectivity, then you'd have to log into your router, to see all of this. Pardon me if it is a bit technical, but it is the way to go about this. There is no third-party software that I am aware of that is intended to suit this, as doing so would be a Security & Privacy concern (something to avoid all together). View the user manual of your modem, if you are unfamiliar with this. So, what to do...
