Double click does not open the file, just the app

Intel based MacBook Pro Late 2019 - Big Sur OS

Double click on a file does not open the file, just the app.

  • Tried with a Logitech mouse and the mac trackpad. Same result.
  • Tried to slow down the speed of double click, NO SOLUTION!!


Didnt have this problem with Mojave.


Any idea??
