mediaanalysisd will be launched after 6 mins without any user activity when power is plugged. It uses 60~90% of GPU forever.
According to Console.app's log
mediaanalysisd will be interrupted by GPU over-heating every 25secs. It makes the progress halted and runs forever. (6% progress after 6 hours)
Is it a bug? Should I keep it running?
Environments:
This command stopped mediaanalysisd.
launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.photoanalysisd.plist && launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.mediaanalysisd.plist
" mediaanalysisd " in Activity Monitor >> View >> View ALL process and it is directly connected to " Analyzing " ones Photo Library.
With a Photo Library of 12 GB it will take some time to do what it does and only do it when the computer is running on the Charger.

So stopping a Native Process may solve the immediate issue only to return ( the process ) when it is required to finish the indexing of the 12 GB Photo Library.
According to Console.app
It did photo ocr, full analysis, photo analysis, photo visual search, photo face detection.
I don't need those features.
I don't want to put my mac under 80 degree Celsius forever.
Because high temperature will cause battery die quickly.
Check again in Activity Monitor >> view >> View ALL processes. Has it started again ?
