when I open the plugin manager. I want to make some new categories. in order to do that there is supposed to be a category section where you click the + sign to add new categories. Mine is only showing the manufacturer plugins...the category section is missing.
Any help would be appreciated :)

I have the same issue on my new MBP M1 max. Seems to be computer specific cause my 2019 MBP shows categories in the plugin manager area which include stock categories and once I've added.
Same here. I've deleted all my preferences, deleted Logic...restarted and reinstalled but still no "Category" section. Not sure what the deal is. (Big Sur, iMac)
Resize plugin management window to give it more space and it will appear.
