iPad Air 2 problem with color distortion

why did my images, photos, videos, incons etc change colors on my IPad air 2? They are real bright almost florescent looking, some of the pics look like old photo negatives. Everything else looks normal, words, text, notes etc.

Hello CryingCharlie,

It sounds like you are seeing a negative or inverted color on certain parts of your iPad.

Here's a resource that might help. Review Use display and text size preferences on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

  • Look to see if Smart Invert or Classic Invert is turned on in Accessibility > Display & Text Size.
  • Check your Color Filters in Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Color Filters
  • Also review the additional options under "More display accommodations" from that article.

If you are using the Zoom feature in Accessibility, check Settings  > Accessibility > Zoom, then turn on Zoom > Zoom Filter, to see if Inverted is on here Zoom in on the iPad screen.

Hope this information helps.

Have a good day.

CryingCharlie,

Thank you for the reply. If this is happening within a particular app, check to see if that app has settings for color. Contact the app developer for assistance if you need help with the setting How to contact an app developer.

If this is happening throughout iPad and within Apple apps, as you've checked the settings previously provided, you may want to Contact Apple Support or use this Get Support link for assistance.

Have a great week.
