outlook default profile

I am trying to sync iCloud to Outlook 365 in windows 11. When I follow the instructions, I receive an error code of (0x800706) Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile. Then says, check your Outlook settings and try again. I then go to the settings, but don't know what to do next. Any help out there?

My OFFICE 2010 Plus is working fine. This system was rebuilt from scratch. When OFFICE was reinstalled, the 32 bit version was inadvertently selected. It was then removed and the 64 bit version was installed. iCloud was uninstalled and reinstalled, with no success. When the system was rebuilt, placeholders for OFFICE 365 were installed. These have been removed. The Apple addin in outlook is enabled and functioning.

iCloud for pc to use Outlook on Microsoft Surface Pro X and Windows 11 Hoping someone has a suggestion. I am trying to set up Outlook on an MS Surface Pro X with Windows 11. I keep getting an error that I don have an email client set as default (I have everything set for Outlook). I have tried deleting and reinstalling both Outlook and the iCloud app. Thank you in advance, I usually carry my Macbook Pro and iPad, but this is a lighter solution. Jeff

It's my contacts in iCloud that are not syncing.
