iPhone losing WiFi connection when trying to transfer

I'm trying to transfer the data from my iPhone X to my new iPhone 13 Pro but right when the transfer is starting (after the prepare to transfer screen of doom that takes 50 years in and of itself), the new phone disconnects from the WiFi and adds hours to the estimated time to complete the transfer. The progress bar moves incrementally slow, and the whole thing is a nightmare. Has anyone else had this issue?
