Can we Pause Screen Recording while Recording on MacbookPro?

Unfortunately, seems there is nothing documented about "pausing" a screen recording that is in progress.

(Sorry I haven't upgraded to Monterey, as yet, on this computer to test it out.)

There is another discussion thread which aptly displays how to use the controls that appear while screen recording.

(You might want to experiment with those "top-menu" controls.)

The OS on my current Mac isn’t up to date, but this still shows in my help menu and seems to work:

Did you hold the Option key and click the record button while doing so?

Hope that function still works!
