Apple One - Family member's existing subscriptions

I've been looking at upgrading to Apple One Premier for me & my girlfriend. She currently has an Apple Music subscription that she recently just renewed this month (using the annual option).

If I upgrade to Apple One Premier & share it with her, what will happen to her Music subscription that she just renewed? Will she get refunded? Do I need to wait until that subscription expires before buying/adding her to Apple One Premier so she doesn't lose out on what she just paid?

I would contact Apple Support and ask for a definitive position. They might be able to cancel her annual payment and refund the difference between that and what she has used so far, which would then let you link her to your Apple One plan.
