Importing Apple Mail Smart Folders?

Hi all,

I set up iCloud on a new computer with Monterey.

One thing that did not show up in Apple mail what is my previous Smart folders.

Rather than re-creating them from scratch, is there a way that I can import them from my other computer which currently is on Catalina?

Thanks in advance – Dave

You would have to migrate your old user to the new Mac.

You might be able to copy the SmartMailbox plist files from old to new

/Users/username/Library/Mail/VX/MailData/SmartMailboxesLocalProperties.plist

/Users/username/Library/Mail/VX/MailData/SyncedSmartMailboxes.plist

The X in VX is a number noting the version of the mail data store. Monterey is V9. Older OS versions will have lower number.
