I have a purplish swirling icon on the lower right corner of my new iPad. It comes up, randomly, when I am trying to close an app or game, doesn't want to go away. I have to shut down to get rid of it. What is and why is it there?

beachgeek,

Have you checked your Siri settings? It may be a setting has changed and Siri is responding. Below are a few links to help you look at the different Siri settings.

Good luck!

Hi beachgeek,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities.

We're happy to help you with the circle you are seeing on your display.

It sounds like AssistiveTouch. Look at Use AssistiveTouch on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch for details.  To see if this feature is turned on, Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch, then select AssistiveTouch to turn it off if enabled.

Let us know if you still need help.

Cheers!
