Chrome icon ghost

My iPad has a “ghost” icon. At some point I got a second icon for google chrome. It is hidden behind another icon when in horizontal display, but shows between the other icons when in vertical mode. It doesn’t react when touched, nor can it be grasped in move icon mode. I tried several things to remove it, but it is still there. I have now deleted chrome from the device, but the ghost icon remains. Can you help?

Is it possible that the “Chrome Ghost Icon” is part of the Wallpaper (background) that you are using on your iPad? Double check this by changing the Wallpaper. Open Settings ➔ Wallpaper ➔ Choose a new wallpaper.
