How can I account for the Mac's iCloud, but from a new side and I forgot the password, but it is linked to my cell phone and Touch bar stops working black screen all the time

icloud log in issue and saved passwords gone My saved passwords are gone, so I tried to sign out of icloud in order to sign back in to see if that would restrore my saved passwords and now I can't sign into that either. It's asking me to sign into an iMAC? I don't have an iMac (whatever that is). I have a MackBook Air and an iPhone. I click I forgot my password and it says that my Apple ID is not active. I am trying to set up iCloud and it ask for my password and I click forgot my password it keeps bringing me back this Apple ID is not active. Please let me know how I can continue. How do I get this fix so that I can get on my Mac air laptop. [Edited by Moderator]

If you forgot the Apple ID (iCloud) password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password on the sign in page. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option if necessary. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.
