External Hard Drives
To save usage, can I eject or shut down my 3 USB external hard drives, one of which is my Time Machine?
All 3 are connected to my new 24" iMac, running Monterey 12..

Shut Down your Mac:
If there is no need to have these connected to your Mac, then safely quit everything (saving what need be), shut down your Mac, and then unplug everything. Wait 30 seconds, and then power it back up.

Thanks for responding... I do need them, but not every day. I use 2 of them to store pics, videos, music, etc.
The 3rd. one is my Time Machine.
Any problem with ejecting and/or turning them off when not needed?
