Are back ups to an external HD via Time Machine susceptable to security breaches?
I have been thinking i need to back up to two drives, always keeping one disconnected from the internet, just in case of some ransomware attack. is this necessary? i worry that Time Machine isnt fully recognizing this...(switching external hard drives).

Thank you. Haven’t had any breaches. Yet. Hope never to but in case I get hit by one of these idiots holding my machines and files for ransom, I want to tell them to go jump off a cliff because I’ve got a back up.
Cannot see how this could happen and never heard of this happening but anything is possible today.
