How can I know on which devices my Apple ID has been used?

i have a 10 years old niece . She currently has her dad’s old iPhone. This phone doesn’t even has a sim card. She only uses it to facetime our family members.

her teacher received inappropriate messages from her apple id for a few days in a row . The teachers informed us about this incident. We all know for sure it wasn’t her sending the messages. It was definitely someone else using her apple id.

we couldn’t find out who did it.

her ID has only been used on her phone and her brothers phone.

we know for sure they both wouldn’t do such things .

we checked everything but we couldn’t find who’s behind all this.

i just want to know who’s the evil mind behind this

iPhone 8, iOS 14

There are 3 places you can see the devices using an Apple ID:

  • Go to Settings, tap on your name, and the list of devices will appear at the bottom of the screen.
  • Log in to https://iCloud.com and click on Account Settings. You will see a list of devices that share the Apple ID.
  • Log in to https://appleid.apple.com and click on Devices for a list of devices.

Regarding her ID has only been used on her phone and her brothers phone. - They should not be sharing an Apple ID; Apple IDs are personal, and should not be shared any more than they would share a toothbrush.

It’s possible that someone knows the Apple ID and password, and signed in, then left. So change the password, and see→If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support

Is it also a possibility that one of them was careless and left the phone lying around unlocked? And do they have passcodes on their devices?
