Thumbnails not displaying after Monterey 12.1 update

Open Activity Monitor.app

Search for a process called "com.apple.quicklook.ThumbnailsAgent"

Forced quit that process

Relaunch the Finder (right click Finder, click "Relaunch"

Not sure if we will need to do this on each OS restart of what… In any case I hope that Apple will fix this on further system updates.

Small note to “Relaunch Finder”:

• Hold the Option key on your keyboard.

• Right-click on the Finder icon in your Dock.

• Click Relaunch.

Have you rebooted more than once since the upgrade...

Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262 to clear system cache files, test, reboot and test again.

I am having the same issue and it's a big big bummer. I spent over a hour on the phone with Apple IT and no one had an answer for me. I really need this issue fixed as it takes too much time to find photos I need for my jobs.

Same thing happened after a 12.3 update, earlier today.

They haven't got this fixed. It needs to be. Its a time-suck on productivity.

If they want MacBook to be a business tool - instead of an entertainment toy - they need to be more responsive to this sort of thing.

This isn't fixed. The suggestions on this thread aren't working either.

This 'business tool' is essentially an entertainment toy. It's costing me valuable time - and money.
