Just got a new IMac. How do I transfer all my stuff from my laptop to new computer?

Move your content to a new Mac
Would strongly suggest Only Moving User Account and nothing more.
Any issues on the old would be automatically and possibly be moved to the New computer. That would possibly pollute the New Computer with Old Problems.
Plus, if the New Computer is an Apple Silicon M1 computer - applications from Old may not work at All on the new Computer.
