Basic copying of a formula in Numbers

How can I copy the sum formula at the bottom "total" row of one column of numbers across the entire total row to show the sums of all the columns in the spreadsheet.

I'm so frustrated. In Excel it couldn't be more simple. You just highlight the cell and drag it across the entire formula and all the cells populate with the totals. I've tried that with Numbers and it doesn't work.

Same as with Excel except in Numbers you drag on the little yellow circle on the edge of the selection box, not the circle in the corner. The yellow circle appears when you put the pointer on/near an edge.
