my macbook pro recognizes my Samsung monitor but the arrangement tab is missing from display settings

My new MacBook Pro 14" does recognize my Samsung C34J79x monitor and I'm able to display on both the external and MacBook monitor but the "arrangement" tab in Display settings is missing. I can move the cursor horizontally to switch between monitors but I want to use the "arrangement" tab to alter the default position to vertically as that's how my monitors are set up on my desk (external if above my laptop). Why is the "arrangement" tab missing from Display settings when the external monitor is recognized?
