disk image

Since installing OS 12.0 I am unable to get rid of disk images from my desktop. I recently upgraded Techtoool which went fine. The installation created a disk image one the desktop. I cannot do anything with this image. I tried moving it to almost everywhere but to no avail. I can move not around but doesn't stay or eject. Any ideas?

If you go to Finder>Desktop does the disk image show?

Does the disk image show as in Disk Utility? If i shows as Mounted, try unmounting the disk image. The try deleting it for the desktop.

If still can't delete. if in FInder you right click and select Ge Info what does that say about the disk image? What are permissions?

As I said the upgrade of Techtool left disk image on the desktop. Another upgrade left another disk image on the desktop. I am able to create disks and perform tasks as usual. I'm just trying to rid the desktop of the upgrade programs install disk images. I am totally unable to move them off the desktop. I cannot put in the trash or anywhere else. Every other function of OS12 appears to be working as it should. I will be adding or upgrading other programs so I foresee more unmovable disk images joining these rascals.
