Can’t view full width of browser on iPhone with 15.1 Update

I recently updated my iPhone to IOS 15.1, and I noticed I’m no longer able to view most web pages in their full width. Previously, I could simply zoom out by pinching the screen to view any text/content that extended beyond the borders of the screen. But with the update, when I try to zoom out, the phone takes me to all of my open windows/tabs instead of zooming out to let me read the page’s content. It seems like poor UX design, although maybe I’m just missing a new way to zoom out on a webpage? I can’t even read pages like Wikipedia without changing the orientation of my phone to landscape mode. Does anyone know a work around?

Hello Tessalameche,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! It looks like you're having an issue zooming in with webpages, and we'd like to help.

You didn't mention if you're using Safari, or a third-party browser, so we'll talk about Safari.

First of all, iOS 15.2 has been released, so you'll want to back up your iPhone, then update:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're still having the issue, restart your iPhone. A restart can resolve unexpected issues:

Restart your iPhone

Then, check your Safari settings:

Customize your Safari settings on iPhone

You'll also want to check for any Accessibility settings which may be inadvertently enabled:

Take care!
