iPad messenger

For some reason my iPad messenger and FaceTime have disconnected and keep asking for my apple password then say can’t connect to messenger server.

This came about suddenly when answering a FaceTime call after years of use without a problem. Never had a requirement to log in before. I have done a full reset and restore on the iPad. I have updated iOS twice, latest to iOS 16. Still no joy. Coul it be a hardware isssue?

Access FaceTime and iMessage Hi I had to reset my Apple ID password for my devices and one device will not log back in to FaceTime and iMessage. I keep getting a message “cannot connect to FaceTime server”. Can anyone suggest what I can do to rectify this.

facetime sign-in problem on iPad I sign there is a message saying "Signing in..." and after about a minute the iPad Unable to contact the FaceTime server What is going wrong? Thanks in anticipation R

Hi Tom21glas,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! From our understanding, FaceTime and Messages are not signed in and you are getting an error message, is that right?

If so, you can try the steps in this article to troubleshoot: If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime.
