While dictating in messaging why is the name Toni always spelled with an I? How do you get the male spelling with a Y?

Consider a pronunciation change. When I say “Tōn-ayy’”, the correct spelling also appears.
I wonder why Toni appears in your case. I’m guessing either you have used some keyboard other than English (U.S.) at some point or have used this spelling in the past (referring to a different person, of course).
If the above doesn’t solve your issue, consider an addition at Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement

I dictated the phrase above. “Tony” was spelled as you prefer. I am using an English (U.S.) keyboard.
I don’t want to sound disrespectful but your solution did not help. Whenever I dictate the name Tony it is always spelled as a female With the letter I. I tried going into settings as U suggested but it was of no help.
I truly appreciate your help. I have only used one keyboard since acquiring this phone. By the way, everyone in my inner circle has the same issue. Eight of us go out to dinner every Friday night and around the dinner table I asked everyone to dictate the name Tony. They all come up TONI.
