Is 120+ days an acceptable Apple repair time frame?

Greetings,

I bought an iMac Pro in 2018 and out of the box it had startup issues. Long story short, apple took my computer into the repair on two occasions:

occasion 1: Total time away from my machine 30+ days.

diagnosed as a firmware issue, then a faulty power supply, was replaced. Got it home and it wouldn’t turn on, brought it back into the shop and was told “I must not be plugging it in right.”

occasion 2: total time away from my machine 90+ days.

replaced logic board x2, power supply, ram, hard drives,…

is 120 days of repair time actually acceptable to any of you?

I lost money, jobs, data, etc etc. according to their policy, apple did everything that they could do. I was given a $200 hard drive as an appeasement so I’d have a better backup system so I wouldn’t lose my data again.

according to their policy, they aren’t liable for any of it. I’m out 120 days of work and the computer was returned in the wrong OS and I still have to manually move my files onto a backup and then reinstall a previous OS and then reinstall my programs manually because of the terrible job done by the apple repair shop. (I make music and my virtual instruments are not supported on Monterey yet)

So here I am diligently moving data so I can revert my computer back to a usable format.

has anyone here experienced anything like this?

I am so sad and feel like I’ll never buy an apple product again, and I’ll be telling everyone I know my story so they know apples repair policies can leave you stranded.
