Macbook M1 MAX 64GB - Memory leak

There is a problem with the memory of the new M1 and Final Cut Pro X. I have tested 5 macbook PRO and MAX of 16gb, 32gb and 64gb. I currently have an M1 MAX - 64GB - 4TB. All updated and original. When I render a project, the VTDecorderXPService process begins to fill the memory and does not empty it, until the "Force applications" window appears. I have called Apple Care, I have spoken with Final Cut Support, I have gone to the Apple Store and they cannot find out what the error may be. They tell me that Apple Architecture is treating it but the error continues and Apple does nothing. Anyone else with this problem? I have tried new projects, different files, from the beginning and it remains the same.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.1

Please follow Tom’s advice and post the Etrecheck report.

A few quick notes: if you are running 12.0.1 you may want to update the OS to 12.1. If your FCP version is 10.6, update to 10.6.1.

Also: if you customized the cursor color or size, go to System Preferences->Accessibility->Display->Pointer and click the reset button. There was a memory leak problem associated with the cursor customization, particularly the use of color, AFAICT. Probably fixed in 12.1, but I can’t say for sure.
