Using my HomePod mini for music

I can't make my HomePod mini play my Playlists that I have in Apple Music. I am not subscribed to a music service, like Apple Music or Spotify. Is that the problem?

Yes, Siri on HomePod can play from your unhidden purchases history. To play more of your content you can AirPlay from your computer or devices. Or take out a subscription to either Apple Music or iTunes Match* to allow Siri to access all of your music.

* iTunes Match users may not be able to use the Recognize My Voice feature.
