Why doesn’t the new iWatch come with a wall adapter? Basically it’s non-functional for charging right out of the box! Does this day “ripoff” to anyone else?

This watch charging cable has a different end than my iPhone, so I do not have a drawer full of adapters that fit this cord. My point was for this money, apple clearly should include an adaptor. For the cost of this watch, I should be provided ALL THE TOOKS NEEDED TO CHARGE IT. Not “hope you have an old adapter that fits.” It’s a definite shortcoming for this product. Just the principle of the thing.

Hello ~ I posted to point out the fact of what Apple clearly puts in the box. Apple hasn’t shipped out charging blocks for quite some time now. I liken it to having to purchase batteries for the toys I buy for my grandchildren. You can use one that you already have as I have a drawer full of blocks and cables from other devices which by the way I will be donating to local charity soon. Also you can tell Apple of their foolishness here:

Hello ~ It tells you on the technical information what comes in the box. Complain to Apple via the product feedback link provided belo or simply return it if purchased within the return period. Complaining here to another unhappy forum user does nothing to change the facts. I do agree with your point “Honestly, life is too short.” Take a look here:

Hello ~ I am not privy to Apple’s business decisions nor do they ask my opinion. I am just a fellow forum user like you are and merely am pointing out the facts. I can’t change it and also pointed you in the right direction to voice your displeasure to Apple …where it can be heard. If you are upset let them know about it or based on the principle take it back for a refund.

Agreed that this is pretty egregious. At the minimum, there should be a pretty obvious option to also purchase the charging block at the time of purchasing the watch, since it doesn't already come with one. I paid over 700 USD for this thing, and if my son hadn't already had an older Apple Watch charging puck I would have been stuck with a device that was useless out of the box, until a wall wart arrived.

For the money we're spending, this should be included. If that's deemed "too much" by Apple's standards, then at least ensuring that we have the option AT PURCHASE to also purchase the means to charge it makes sense. Not all of us have updated Apple devices with this new, once again proprietary hardware. If Apple doesn't want us to be cranky about it, they need to fix it.

Don't even get me started about how the stupid thing won't even charge fully without constant babysitting. Honestly, life is too short.
