Apple Watch Charging Adapter

How irritating and frustrating is it that Apple sells you a $400 watch with a cord without a charging adapter so you can plug it in...and they don't even tell you you'll need one nor are their instructions in the box about it, or any information indicating what type of adapter to get? Just so annoying! Got home from the Apple store and couldn't even charge the watch!
