Unusual email from "noreply@email.apple.com

I have a relatively new iPhone12 with Verizon wireless service. In the last week I have received an inordinate number of text messages saying my "package is on the UPS truck for delivery but needs info from me to deliver", most often it wants a confirmed delivery address and time for receipt signature. I think it's a hoax and I keep texting back to stop harassing me. So far that isn't working.

Today, I got an email from "noreply@email.apple.com" saying "Find My has been disabled on my phone" I did NOT request this to be disabled and I have no understanding why it would be or what I need to do to ensure that it hasn't happened. But first, is this message legit??

Where do I go in "Apple.com" to find this out?

SCAM!!!!

DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS!!

PLEASE REPORT TO APPLES PHISHING LINK FOUND ON APPLE.COM ONLY!

you can tell if an email is fake based on the email address usually. Addresses starting with “NO REPLY” are always a red flag to me (work in the banking industry know lots of signs of scams and fraud), LEGIT EMAIL ADDRESSES FROM BUSINESSES SUCH AS APPLE WOULD BE SIMILAR TO EX: APPLE@APPLESUPPORT.COM. Legit email address of KNOWN COMMON/LARGER businesses tend to be SIMPLE AND CLARIFYING DEPT IN ADDRESS! ALSO CHECK THE NAME NEXT TO THE EMAIL ADDRESS, APPLE WOULDNT CALL THEMSELVES ICLOUD!!! I got an email saying my storage was running out into upgrade but I knew that I purchased 2 TB worth and it was saying I could get an upgrade deal on 50 GB so I didn’t run out of space! You can verify my kind of issue by going into your settings than your Apple ID and see your storage purchases. In YOUR case Apple would not turn that off they don’t have a way to access that nor do they have authority to do so, you can always check under your settings for that as well under find my iPhone which is in the general settings area with your name and picture! Hope this helps!
